
The company, Midair, owned and operated by Jean Bories of Candillargues, conducts firefighting operations in nearby Montpellier, France, as well as other locations throughout the south of France. The company uses four Grumman 650 hp Ag-Cats, four S2R Thrush with 650 hp P&W R-1340 engines, one C-188 Ag Truck and one Alouette and one Ecureuil (twin turbine powered) helicopters.
The aircraft are dispatched from airfields at Candillergues, Beziers, Bedarieux and Argelies. The fire fighting season is from June 15 to September 30.
